Introduction:
The Rational Information Development team in IBM China Development Lab provides documentation support for IBM Rational products. The team is currently looking for an information developer (technical writer) to support its Rational software documentation.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and plan the documentation work for whole projects.
· Write new or update existing user documentation based on technical design documents.
· Closely work with software development engineers in China and overseas to get technical input or feedback.
· Conduct peer review with peer writers and technical review with developers and testers.
· Work with our technical editor and other technical people to improve documentation quality and usability.
· Deliver the documentation as HTML and PDF formats.
Qualification: - Bachelor's degree or higher, majoring:
· in English with TEM 8, or
· in Computer Science, Communications, Engineering, or related technical subjects, with excellent CET 6 scores.
- Excellent English writing skills
- Being able to handle multiple projects and priorities
- Familiar with software development life cycle
- Strong interest in and comfortable with technology subject matter
- Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Quick learner
- Experience in overseas projects or in multicultural environment is a plus
- Knowledge of markup languages is a plus.
