Company Background

Swiss Center Shanghai - SCS, is a comprehensive Swiss platform for international firms and SMEs to facilitate their relationship and successful business in China. ^

Established in 2000, SCS comprises 50 members companies and their long experience in China, a comprehensive network of China-based experts and strong connections to Government organizations combined with offices, show rooms and instant workshops. The SCS is the center of by far the largest cluster of Swiss companies in China and the only platform able to offer integrated services to ensure success in China.

The SCS also provides a platform for Chinese entrepreneurs to develop their relations with Swiss companies.



Job Description

2.1. Position
Marketing Assistant of Swiss Center Shanghai, the role is based in Shanghai and reports to the Operation Manager and the General Manager of the Swiss Center Shanghai.

The key responsibilities are to support the SCS managers in marketing activities and maintaining customer relations, to organize events and delegation visiting programs, to take care of various administration tasks.   



2.2. Tasks & Responsibilities
Provide support and services to the SCS customers, ready to act on demand and strive for solutions to satisfy the appearing needs
Support the SCS members in all their interactions with the local authorities and administrations
Maintain SCS contact database and contribute to the newsletter contribution
Organization of events, delegation programs and receiving visitors
Support in preparation of marketing materials and company documents
Support in Administration tasks (administrative paperwork, contacts with local bureaus, gathering information, official letters, translations, office facilities management, etc.)


Candidate Profile

3.1. Personal Attribute

Service and result oriented
Very well organized and independent
Naturally likes to build up networks and relations
Identifies with and recognizes the need for the organization’s vision and strategy
Reliable, responsible, loyal, honest and straightforward

3.2. Skills
Excellent interpersonal and networking abilities
Strong organization and administration skills
Event organization
Computer Skills with Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
Language: Excellent command of Chinese and English (knowledge of German and French is a plus)

3.3. Requirements:
Certificate/Diploma in Business Administration or University degree in Economics or Engineering
Experience in marketing/promotion, event organization, or administration
Chinese native with residence in Shanghai
Experience with western companies and cultures, and knowledge of their ways of “doing business”
